Small phones are great! The only flaw is that most come with a relatively small battery size.
Until we are able to make the harness the power of some super battery in a compact space, we just have to make do with what we can do to reduce wastage on each moment our phone is turned on.
Turn this option off and see life regained on your new Samsung Phone.
I'm not sure if this applies to all other android phones but this works for my latest S24.
Upon switching this option off, I was able to significantly see an improvement in my battery life.
At least, the battery percentage doesn't drop like 1% per min.
So here's the straightforward solution:
- Turn off Emergency Location Service.
This is how you can turn off Emergency Location Service:
- Settings → Safety and Emergency
- Emergency Location Service
- turn off the option for "Use Emergency Location Service"
You should only turn this on when you are in precarious situations like if you are in a stranger foreign country or alone on a hike at some forested / mountainous area. This option can come in useful when you need it.
Apart from those, there is not much need for this function on your phone.
If your battery is still draining fast, here are some more fool-proof way to extend the life of your battery in between charges.
- Turn off 5G
- Turn off Location Services
- Turn off Bluetooth
- Reduce Motion Smoothness (Reduce refresh rate)
- Switch screen mode from vivid to Natural (Reduce Screen Resolution)
By having these option turn off, you can be sure your battery life is almost doubled as compared to when all these options are turn on-ed.
