Think you can outwin and outlast with a USP? That's no longer sufficient.
Having a good product or good service at the end of the day boils down to how long it takes your competitor to copy you.
To win, you need a strategy, you need something to set you miles apart from everybody else.
Today's world, almost everybody have the same kind of resources. Everything is so easy to get. From starting a business, to procurement to sales, marketing, distribution? Whatever you can get it for low, others can get it faster, better,.. most importantly at a better price point.
Then why do business?
It boils down to 2 things. Strategy and Consistency.
You need to have a strategy. Most business owners get to business because they've a plan, they've something they are trying to achieve at the end of the day. Something bigger at the end of the road. They've got an exit strategy. They know 10 years later, when the entire world gets there, they can exit with a handsome payout.
You have a plan but how consistent are you? are you ready to throw everything else away and to edge in slowly, bit by bit? Do you have the motivation to last that long. Do you fall when you see failure? Can you outlast your competitors. These are all defining factors that define your success in business. How steady really.. are you?
Most entrepreneurs don't last that long. They fall when the going gets tough, they give up, they fall when they see competitors selling their products. The ones that do, don't. They fight harder, they find ways to survive, they think out of the box or divert temporarily to seek coverage and refuge.
Understand your market, know your business model and strategic advantage. Be laser-focused on where you are heading. Collaborate with similar and like-minded indviduals who can assist you on your way. Stay strong, stay tough. That's the only way you can survive in today's highly competitive world with easily reachable resources.
I learnt this while collaborating with the guys from Godata.digital.
